The makers of old technology asymmetric golf putters often embody groves on the impact surface of their putters, claiming that these groves do something to improve putting performance. But a study has been presented by the very prestigious Scientific Congress on Golf, that groves do not improve putting performance in any way. Furthermore laboratory testing by us at Quantum has shown that groves are actually detrimental in two ways: 1) Any horizontal grooving component seems to bite into the surface of the ball at impact and causes increased ball skid during launch - that is not good. 2) Any vertical grooving component e component seems to bite into the surface of the ball at impact and causes the ball to be launched with side-spin -- that too is not good. The new technology Quantum Symmetric Golf Putter has no detrimental groves, so its momentum transfer is full and free of ball skid or sidespin.-- that is good.
Old technology asymmetric golf putters suffer post impact shaft vibration as a result of bent or offset and miss-vectored shafting and that vibration is annoying. So instead of correcting the problem with proper shafting, these old technology putter makers often put vibration dampening pads on the impact surface of their putters. These pads do decrease annoying shaft vibration, but they also cause momentum loss and that is not good. But that is not the worst of it all. Soft impact pads have hard margins. When the ball is impacted by the pad, a loss of momentum happens, but if the ball is impacted slightly above or below the pad, a gain of momentum happens. Hitting above or below happens about as often as hitting the center of the pad, so momentum transfer to the ball is unpredictable -- that is not good. The new technology Quantum Symmetric Golf Putter has no detrimental pads. so its momentum transfer is full and reliable -- that is good.
I will never diminish your momentum!
During your power stroke, your putter gains the amount of momentum you think will move the ball to the cup, and any loss of that momentum is detrimental to your putting performance. How can you loose momentum? With Pads and Groves on the impact face.
Quantum is most massive and that makes her stroke momentum best.
