Whenever a technologist (inventor) wants to make a better widget, he examines carefully and
thoughtfully all the shortcomings of existing widgets. Then he corrects these
shortcomings and ends up with a better widget. It is really that simple!
This is exactly what we did and it was almost as if the
existing putters were actually designed to cause missed putts! In fact
they have so many shortcomings we had to group them by category:
Stroke,
Glide, Impact,
Launch. Along the way we also discovered shortcomings in how golfers use their
putters which will be discussed later under the topics of
Technique,
Fitting,
Judgment. After all this discovery
we methodically went about correcting each shortcoming in a way that would be
deemed conforming
to the USGA Rules of Golf.
As anyone who knows anything about golf will tell
you, getting anything that is radically different from what has gone before is
extremely difficult to get passed the USGA. When we
made our first submittal to the USGA for a conformance ruling, I remember the
list of rejections they returned was so long, we could almost
hear them laughing at us from where they were in New Jersey all the way out to
where we were in Arizona. Since then, we have made so many more submittal
iterations that we have lost track of the exact number; but we persisted and now
finally we have that absolutely necessary ruling -- our new technology putter
CONFORMS WITH THE USGA RULES OF GOLF.
The result is such a unique and meritorious putter that it
has been granted US Patent Protection on its Technology. This was also a long
and difficult process. When we first met with a
patent attorney to talk about applying for a patent on our new putter technology,
she laughed and said, "You'll never get a new putter patent because putters
are simple devices that have been around for a long time, so anything you might
have come up with will no doubt have been seen before by the patent application
reviewers." That was discouraging, but we persisted and now we have
been GRANTED US PATENT with no less than twenty-one
unique and meritorious claims!
Then came the third hurdle to jump in establishing the creditability of this
new technology. Yes, the technology is CONFORMING; yes it is PATENTED; but the
question remained, would it perform in the real world with EXCELLENCE? The way to find this out is by independent testing. So
we engaged the leading
independent golf equipment testing/evaluating firm,
GolfTestUSA and hoped for the best.
After
extensive testing over a two day period performed on a golf course by a sampling
of twenty-five core golfers, our new technology putter performed awesomely under
controlled yet real world conditions. In fact it performed so well that it
was awarded the coveted Seal of Excellence which is given only rarely and only
to the best of products.
It was a great feeling when we received the
INDEPENDENT TEST RESULTS because it validated what we
had been working on for several years, all the while suffering the naysayers who
took every opportunity to discourage us.
Now this CONFORMING/PATENTED/VALIDATED new putter is
available to you as the Quantum Putter.
This
new technology putter product is described in detail in the topic
entitled "Introducing the Quantum Product", but for now let's continue with
the current topic of putter TECHNOLOGY and discuss in
detail the following technology subtopics.

After you have finished each of these subtopics, you'll have a
very good understanding of Putter Technology, in fact you will be an expert on
putter technology, probably knowing much more about it than most teaching
professionals.
SUMMARY: What all golfers want
is good putting judgment because that is what sinks putts. But good putting
judgment is not possible without good fitting and good fitting requires good
technique, and good technique requires good technology. We just covered the
topic of technology and learned why the Quantum Putter is not only good
technology, it is actually superior to all other putters currently available.
Next lets move on to the topic of Putting Technique.
Quantum Comparison
How does the Quantum Putter compare
with other putters with regard to Technology?
-
Stroke -- Quantum Putters are
massive and that makes for a smooth stroke; whereas most other putters
light-weight in comparison and that makes for less desirable wavering stroke.

Glide -- Quantum Putters have a
patented glide plate which minimizes friction and eliminates leading edge bite
and trailing edge drag; whereas most other putters, especially the mallets
suffer greatly from friction bite and drag.

Impact -- Quantum Putters do not
torque upon impact nor do they suffer any shaft vibration; whereas most other
putters suffer shaft vibration and they torque open upon impact and that makes
precision putting impossible.

Launch -- Quantum Putters launch the
ball without bounce and with topspin roll; whereas other putters launch the ball
with bounce and without topspin (actually with adverse backspin in almost all
cases), which of course makes precision putting impossible.
