If
you ask us which putter is the best, naturally we would say it is the Quantum
Putter because we sincerely believe facts and scientific truth bear that out.
but, if you ask us which putter is second best, in our opinion it is the SeeMore
M1.
We have analyzed a great number of
competitor putters and the Seemore scores closer in analytical comparison to the
Quantum than any other.
According to their public website
(www.seemore.com), as of our last check on 4/5/2008, the Seemore Golf Company offers
the original FGP Model; the M1 off-center shafted blades, the M2 off-heel
shafted blades, the M3 off-center shafted mallets, and the M5 off-heel shafted
mallets. Each M Series Putter is also available with a bent shaft instead of a
straight shaft, the indication
being M1W, M2W, M3W and M5W respectively.
 In
all Seemore seems to have a total of nine putter offerings.
In our opinion the Seemore M1 is second only to Quantum, so this is the putter we
will use in this Feature/Benefit Comparison.
FEATURE/BENEFIT COMPARISON
Comparison Stipulation -- Obviously it is
dangerous for us to do a public comparison of the Quantum Putter with any other
named putter because of the risk of litigation, however facts and truth
are always an absolute defense. So as long as we are careful to do our comparison on
that basis, we feel relatively safe in giving you the benefit of such a
comparison. Besides, whenever a comparison call was close, we always gave
our competitor the benefit of the doubt. It is our
desire to absolutely fact based and truthful in this comparison; so, if

SEEMORE IS CHEAPER BY $70
The price of the Seemore
M1 is $325 according
to their website; whereas the price of the Quantum is $395; so the SeeMore
is cheaper than the Quantum by $70. Price might be the predominate
factor for beginners and many happy-go-lucky recreational golfers,
but avid amateurs and professional golfers will always regard
relative value far more than absolute price.
VALUE COMPARISON -
QUANTUM WINS BY $149
The Quantum wins the
Feature/Benefit Comparison 18 to 8. To find comparative value, divide
the price of the Quantum ($395) by the number of features it has
(18) to get the Value Quotient of $22 per feature. Next multiply
the number of features the SeeMore has (8) by the value quotient
($22) and you get the Comparative Value of the SeeMore Putter
which is $176. In other words, if the Quantum Putter is worth $395,
then the SeeMore Putter is by comparison worth $176. So at their
$325 Retail Price, the SeeMore Putter is overvalued by $149 ($325-176);
therefore,
even at the higher price of $395, the Quantum Putter is the better
value by that amount.
PERFORMANCE COMPARISON
