Right decisions yield right results. But how doe one arrive at the right decision? That requires Judgment
and judgment has two components - knowledge and experience. You get knowledge
from learning and that's what we are doing here; you get experience from
practice and playing the game and there's where you are on your own. Yes
we can teach you about the three aspects of Putting
Judgment that need to be perfected; but then it's up to you to practice and play
so as to improve your judgment and that will be a lifelong challenge:
If all the golf greens were flat, judging direction would be
simple - you'd just aim directly at the cup. But it's not that way at all.
So judging launch direction is a difficult process of mentally surveying the
topography of the green that lies between the ball position and cup; then, calling
upon your memory of past experiences, you need to decide what direction to launch the ball
so it curves its way into the cup. The better you are at surveying the
topography of the green and the more memories of past experiences you have, the better your direction judgment will be. But as if that's not enough, direction and power are related
factors: The launch requires more direction variance when less power is applied,
and conversely less direction variance when more power is applied. How can you become better at this?
Practice!
Judging Launch Power is similar to Judging Launch Direction. If all
putts were of the same length and all the golf greens were flat, then judging launch power would be simple - it would always be
the same. But that's not the way it is. So judging launch power is also a
difficult process similar to and related with judging launch direction. You need
to mentally survey the topography of the green that lies between the ball
position and the cup; then, calling upon your memory of past experiences,
decide what power to use in launching the ball so it curves its way into the
cup. Again, the better you are at surveying the topography of the green and the more
memories of past experiences you have, the better your
power judgment will be. How can you become better at this? Again,
Practice!
Some days the golf greens are fast
and some days they are slow. On the fast days, your intuitive putting judgment
on power needs to be adjusted downward; conversely on slow days, your judgment
needs to be adjusted upward. Then, some days your mood might be aggressive and
some days it might be timid; on your aggressive days, your intuitive putting
power needs to be adjusted downward; conversely on timid days, your intuitive
power needs to be adjusted upward. This daily judgment adjustment can become
mind numbing and over time it will often result in the dreaded confusion is
called The Putting Yips.
So if you are a golfer who plays the game on a daily basis, then you should have
a new technology putter which has a mass adjustment. Then, instead of having to
adjust your judgment on a daily basis you can instead adjust your putter's
power.
SUMMARY
Quantum Launch Direction/Power -- The Quantum Putters
have the benefit of a Practice Mode with aids that help to improve Putting
Judgment; no other putters have such a benefit.
Quantum Adjustment for Conditions of the Day
-- Quantum Putters also have the benefit of Power Adjustability which helps
improve Putting Judgment by adjusting power for variable conditions of the day;
