Hold
your putter loosely with one hand and then tap where on the head where you are
supposed to strike the ball – if this tapping causes the putter head to
rotate even the slightest, then your putter has no sweet spot and is not

About Duane
Engdahl
Duane Engdahl is
the inventor of the technology upon which the Quantum Putter is based, he is the
Principal Research & Development Investigator, and Founder of Quantum Golf
Company, currently performing the duty of General Partner and Managing Member.
On the internet, he uses the handle "PutterGeek".
Duane was born in 1940 of second generation immigrants who
were first farmers and later became builders. He Apprenticed with his father
from childhood in the building industry and became a journeyman in most trades
before graduating high school. He graduated Minnesota State University in 1963
with double major in math and physics and minors in chemistry and biology.
Then he joined Sperry Rand, the company which invented the digital computer and
pioneered its use in business and military applications. He started as a Junior
Computer Programmer and progressed through the ranks to Principal Systems
Design Engineer and along the way, he accomplished the following:

Created the
possibly the first computer generated Trigonometric Table with as much accuracy significance
as desired.
·
Principle
Programmer responsible for System Executive and Man-Machine Interface on US Navy
Project Anew, the first application of a computer to an avionics weapons system.
·
Created the
Man-Machine Interface and Operating System for the US Navy P-3 Orion
Anti-Submarine Warfare System which used state-of-the-art military mini-computer
technology.
·
Conceived of
designed and created a way to install more applications software into a computer
than its memory capacity would allow – an innovation called the Page Addressing
Solution and a system compiler called STAB/STAG.
·
Designed and
created the Man-Machine Interface and Operating System for the US Navy S-3
Viking Anti-Submarine Warfare System which used state-of-the-art military
mini-computer technology.
·
Proposed the
computer system design for the NASA Deep Space Network Worldwide Tracking System
which was selected as the award winning system.
·
Proposed the
computer system for the US Marine Corps Transportable Air Traffic Control System
which was selected as the award winning design.
·
Proposed the
computer system for the US Navy’s Tactical Support & Coordination Center for
Avionics Anti-Submarine Warfare which was selected as the award winning system.
Left Sperry in 1980 to start a new computer company called
North American Technology which would develop software for the new
micro-computer technology.
·
Conceived of,
designed, and created a management information system for the Repair Service
Industry.
·
Designed, and
created a management information system for School Management.
Terminated North American Technology in 1990 because
couldn’t make it financially successful and started a new Consulting Firm which
would do financial risk analysis and free market movement projection.
·
Created a
mathematical model for predicting free market movement based upon historical
data (preliminary test results on this technology are promising but no further
development of this technology has been pursued as yet).
Terminated this Consulting Firm in 1997, to do something
entirely different and started a Construction Company called Desert Home in
order to fulfill a latent desire to do something physical and creative; but the
summers are very hot here in Phoenix so this company was sold out and he began
Research into state-of-the-art golf putter technology.
Invented the technology upon which the Quantum Putter is
based, Founded Quantum Golf Company. and is Quantum's current General Partner
and Managing Member.
